Business Health performs a variety of physical exams tailored to an employer’s specific workplace needs.
Pre-Placement Medical Exams (also known as pre-employment)
Performed by a licensed practitioner (Physician, Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to determine if there are any medical or physical limitations a prospective employee may have.
Assures safe assignment in the workplace.
DOT Exams: for intrastate and interstate commercial vehicle operation as required by the federal and state governments.

Respiratory Exams
OSHA respiratory protection standards mandate that prior to respirator use, an employee must be medically evaluated to determine their capacity to wear a respirator. The steps to this standard are:
Completion of a Respirator Medical Evaluation Questionnaire reviewable by a licensed physician or licensed healthcare professional and is a minimal federal requirement.
Any yes answers in Section 2 of the standard questionnaire will require a medical examination
Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT), chest x-rays and other medical testing may be required as necessary for release by the examining physician.

Verifies a worker’s ability to perform required physical demands/ functions of a job.
POETS are legally defensible and can be used to rescind an employment offer if an employee cannot meet the physical demands of the position.
Tailored exams are conducted by Physical Therapist or other trained medical personnel in our Direct RehabMed PT department.
May be conducted prior to a Physician’s medical examination if employer protocols require it.
